self-love

How about we take some god damn responsibility?

How long more are we going to cry
For the world to balance up
Like an empty seesaw on standstill
Shhh, no one moves

For people to be this, but also that
Never mind it contradicts
Never mind that we are all the same—
Balls of wool herd to either sides of fence

How long more will we fall
And blame the ground for the bruise
Accuse the crowd of pushing;
Our parents, for giving us feeble legs

We can circle the game of victimisation
Spend eternal inspecting the manual
Or, take some god damn responsibility
and we start living.

A Happy Poem

Warm and tender
Skin to skin
Touch to my fingertips

Bright room and morning air
Skin to sheets
Quiet awakening of city

I can too
write a happy poem
When I recall
the start of my days

No Man Land

I shoved, I pushed
made sure I took

All the right steps
It landed me where

Nobody is, and
now nobody can

relate to my ache;
what keeps me awake

Single Truth

Where does it begin?
My dire need for validation,
longing for absoluteness.

Wilful prayers sent into nights
Lamenting for a single truth
The murder of perception

It is a safe, reliable,
fair, and
cruel world.

In the words
“I knew I was right”
Could there be any closure?

Special

It is like pulsing flame
Held between quivering hands
Delicate, flawless—
I want to have it painted across the sky
Every vibrancy, every shade
Every orange

Yet hesitant, mostly afraid
The tinted glasses, indifferent glances
worse, mistaken invitation
to add strokes to the palette.
We all share the same sky;
Do we see the same?

Torn between sharing a sunrise
or having a nightlight by the bed
This struggle; persistent back and forth
Is what tells me this is different—
This time, this thing
is special

Learning

On a stretching hallway of doors
Each one flings into an uncharted

The paths here are lit by the moon
Maps are traced out of constellation

Campfire rises and dances like fireflies
Ah, you keep learning to feel alive

Not everyone deserves your kindness

Not everyone deserves to taste your kindness,
After being mistaken for blindness.
Charity has become a famous symbol,
Leaving the poor into dirty gamble.
Why go out and thrash the innocent,
First, try to make your home magnificent.

Not everyone deserves to taste your kindness,
Even after you overcame the sourness.
From tons of ways to give back to society,
Make sure only one to notice is almighty.
Time and resources aren’t scarce,
It’s you who’s constantly on a race.

Not everyone deserves to taste your kindness,
Do it for self regarded highness.
Hope so high that it vanishes the reality,
Keep taking the tough route of anonymity
Who needs your big fat surplus reserves,
They take it to feed those hungry curves.

Air and Fire

It is not important — the why
we are the way we are this instance

I, compressing at air
you, taming fire

But our job is not to water down,
mold till we reflect each other

For you are born to be infinite
and I, to paint the city orange in colour

Never too dark to stay

To everyone,
Maybe you’re lost and looking for sunshine,
Maybe you’re sad and looking for a smile.
So,
Here I am to tell you,
You’ll get what you want, only if you try.
The struggle will be hard, and maybe you’ll cry.
They’ll try to make you stop,
You’ll have to walk alone.
But remember,
That does not mean you’re going all wrong.
There will come days you’ll see no light,
You have to trust your dreams,
Continue to go on and fight.
For all this as I end now in short I say,
It will never be too dark for you not to stay.

Let it pass

If the pain comes
drink it up
When it goes
Let it pass
